Sydney Guttmann joined Wilkes Artis in 2017. As a law clerk working under the supervision of principals of the firm, she focuses on commercial real estate tax appeals and condemnation litigation in the District of Columbia before the D.C. Real Property Tax Appeals Commission and the D.C. Superior Court.

Sydney received her B.A. from the University of Connecticut and her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2017. While earning her J.D., Sydney served as a law clerk at a prominent D.C. civil litigation firm and then as a legal intern at the Office of General Counsel for the Department of Defense Inspector General. Prior to law school, Sydney worked for six years at the Headquarters for the Department of the Army at the Pentagon.

Sydney is currently licensed to practice law only in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Practicing law in the District of Columbia pursuant to D.C. Court of Appeals Rule 49(c)(8) under the supervision of principals of the firm.”
